WIN-TRON ELECTRONICS TO DISTRIBUTE
FLIR THERMAL IMAGING SYSTEMS
BOATERS NO LONGER NEED TO FEAR THE NIGHT.
Spring Lake Heights, New Jersey, December 21, 2006 --
Win-Tron Electronics, an international leader in the wholesale distribution
of marine electronics, announced today that it has reached an agreement
with Portland, OR, headquartered FLIR SYSTEMS, INC. (NASDAQ: FLIR) to distribute
their pleasure craft, yacht and commercial maritime thermal imaging systems.
FLIR is a world leader in the design, manufacture and marketing of thermal
imaging systems.
The same thermal imaging technologies used by the Coast Guard, Navy and other US government
agencies is now available in several low-cost systems. FLIR's thermal imaging systems allow
you to see in total darkness, smoke, rain and light fog. Hazards, markers, and other vessels are easily seen, regardless of lighting conditions. Thermal imaging is also the ideal tool for providing onboard ship security and for search-and-rescue operations. Unlike night-vision equipment, thermal imaging is not dependent on light. It detects subtle differences in temperature called heat signatures.
